I know I told that I was going for a simple level for this week but... I fall on a tutorial about using Halos in Blender and I thought it would be cool to try it...^^' And also, the rigging of the model was far more complex and hard that I thought. Underesteemed the work to do again.
But it's done! There are still lots of strange deformations, mostly on the face, but I don't think I could make it any better right now so I'll put my concentration on something else...like a simple level.^^' I'll wait for my class to be at the rigging stage to see how the pro make it.
SO, for the animation, I was going to use the halo tutorial by Kernon Dillon on blender cookie [link]
but since the author is using Blender 2.49, I couldn't do it right. So I cheated and use another method.
The result is the same. I still have learned a lot about halos, which was a kind of obscure tool of Blender. You can't see them 'cause they are too small, but the little balls of light are in fact really detailed. I might make a series of examples to show you what it can do for next week.
The animation is quite rough and inconstant, sometime it goes really fast, other it's way too slow, so I would have a lot of work to make it look right but I don't know if I'll do it. I just wanted to practice animation and it was a great practice.
Aaaanyway, that's all for this week. Your comments, suggestions and critics are most welcome as I wish to become a better artist so don't be soft on me.
Have a great day.
