I did it! I did it! For the first time, it was amazing. That's right, I have beaten touhou 6 the embodiment of scarlet devil at normal difficulty for the first time (that's not what you were thinking right? ). And for those who don't know about touhou, know that normal difficulty is like amazingly hard like hell for any other game. Seriously, if you consider yourself like an hardcore gamer because you're good even at hard games you HAVE to try and pass touhou, it's like a gamer's life achievement. I consider myself to be a good gamer and it took me months to beat this difficulty. And it's not because the game is long, no, it can take you 30 minutes to beat it. It's just that it is really hard. Anyway, I was working on this game since a long time and I was damn happy when I made it. Now I should start hard difficulty but I don't think I'll pass it anytime soon. That said, I did try and I was able to pass it using 2 continues so it's doesn't look that bad. And after hard there's lunatic that I won't probably ever pass… One other great thing, well, for those who know about touhou, is that I now have access to the "extra start" option. With a little luck and hell lots of practice I'll be able to "play with", or rather "being played" by, Flandre, the secret boss that have a great reputation among the touhou community. Can't wait be to pwned over and over again by her.XD Also, I beat the game with MarisaA(And the day after I did it with MarisaB and RamuA, Ramu's bombs are just lame compared to Marisa's) in case it interest you.
And that right there was one of my 3 big success of the week. The second one is that internet is "finaly" back. Which, you know, is great for my social life and all, 'cause doing 3D 12houres a day isn't really social, but on the other hand, I'm I'll lose a lot more time now and which is sad a little bit. I guess It can't be helped.
The third success is the rigging and animating and texturing of my Hatsune Miku model in Blender. I'm really proud of this one and I have the feeling I have made another great step toward being a 3D professional. Now thanks to the knowledge I have gain from this I will be able to put characters in nice poses in my next creations and even to make some more basic animations. I might try to put her in the game engine too. I have watched a tutorial on this and it didn't look that hard. In fact, I'm positive that in my next week deviations I'll have a simple game to show you. Nothing great but I think it will be interesting.
Anyway, if you happen to find a t pose from front, side and back view of Rin or Len kagamine, or any other vocaloïd character for that matter, while you're surfing on the internet (because I'm sure you're all searching for this kind of stuff when you have nothing to do) be sure to send me the picture because I'm really trying to make them into Blender and it's damn hard(but probably not as much as touhou) without references.
For Desgraff, well, I had a bad grade on an texturing exam last week and I'll probably have a bad one for this week exam too. It seems I'm just not into texture right now. I absolutely don't give up on them, it's just that right now, I'm in a modeling fury and I'll concentrate more on textures when the time will be right. It will cost me some points though...guess it can't be helped. You know, the more I use Blender the more I like and respect it. It is a really powerful software when you happen to know it.
Well I think that it is pretty much it for this week…
Have a nice week!^^

Graduated!
Hello world!
A lot happened since the last post so I'll probably have a lot to say.
First of all, I have officially graduated from the 1 year course I was taking at Desgraff institute at Sherbrook. If you'd like to, you can see my demoReel here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LjdoS0z4vA
Everything was made in Blender except for the typewriter. I originally didn't get a good grade for it as the presentation was really bad but I think I made it better since the original version. I still had some problems with the mesh display on the Yamato as you can easily notice. Anyway, I hope you like it and feel free to leave me your impressions (nega
Merry Christmas!
Just a quick update to wish all of you a great Christmas if you're celebrating it and a great celebrations time!
We'll see ourselves next year. =D
little break
Hi everybody!
Just telling you that I won't upload my BGE tutorials on deviantart anymore. Not until I fully complete the series, mainly because it fills my gallery for nothing. So I'll wait to have completed the series and then I'll upload a deviation with all the links of the series. It will be simpler that way.
So, what are you guys doing these days?
Doing tutorials like a boss
So I have been making tutorials for the Blender game engine for about 4 weeks now and I must admit it completely kills me. No, frankly, this stuff takes so much preparation, research, practice and side work, it is amazing. And now, after more than 1 hour of video, I am still not happy with my voice and accent.XD I still get confused with my verb tenses, I often misspell words and worst of all, I still get blanks while explaining. Those errors make me restart the whole recording over and over as I didn't find a good video editing software yet. The good thing is that I keep learning as I deepen and test everything before I include them in my tu
