Hello world.
So I'm back from my free week and ready to start animation in classes. I've already tried it on my own but I'm sure I will learn new stuff and improve my skills with practice. (which is good since my first walk cycle attempt was pretty much a fail) I also happy to meet back my classmates and to see what they have done in their free time and exchange a bit. We also change our classroom and teacher. Stronger computers (power!), less natural light(who needs this?XD) and I think we might even have more than one monitor! Great time incoming. Ho, I should also get back to the " new art every Monday" objective I had that I couldn't respect due to the free week.
On the personal side, you might notice that I have started a new human model thanks to the reference pictures draw for me. I'm very glad this worked out and it feels great to cooperate with other artists to make great things. I think to model, even if not finished yet, looks far better then my Miku model. I think the reference is better but I also decided to make that one a hi poly version instead of low poly. Hi poly modeling is fun too. You can add loop cuts and subdivision like crazy for little details and nobody worries. How awesome is that?
Once the model is finished, I intend so sculpt it (heck yeah), to texture it and to rig it. Once I'm finished with Rin, I intend to also make Len which should also take me a lot of time. I'm also working on the Nature academy and I still have 7 other subject/scenes to create. It is still highly instructive and I learn new interesting techniques and tools every time I watch one of the tutorials. I also want to learn Maya for another personal project and I still intend to make video tutorials and I have found an interesting website about painting in Blender and some other cool stuff that I can't wait to try. Just thinking about it, it makes me nervous, I might have too much project at the same time.^^' Ho well, I guess this way I should not fall on another art block of death. -.-
It will be one year I've started using Blender in about two months. I can't wait to see what I will be able to do once I'm there.
I think it is pretty much it. I hope you enjoy my submission as much as I enjoy creating them and I wish you a great day!

Graduated!
Hello world!
A lot happened since the last post so I'll probably have a lot to say.
First of all, I have officially graduated from the 1 year course I was taking at Desgraff institute at Sherbrook. If you'd like to, you can see my demoReel here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LjdoS0z4vA
Everything was made in Blender except for the typewriter. I originally didn't get a good grade for it as the presentation was really bad but I think I made it better since the original version. I still had some problems with the mesh display on the Yamato as you can easily notice. Anyway, I hope you like it and feel free to leave me your impressions (nega
Merry Christmas!
Just a quick update to wish all of you a great Christmas if you're celebrating it and a great celebrations time!
We'll see ourselves next year. =D
little break
Hi everybody!
Just telling you that I won't upload my BGE tutorials on deviantart anymore. Not until I fully complete the series, mainly because it fills my gallery for nothing. So I'll wait to have completed the series and then I'll upload a deviation with all the links of the series. It will be simpler that way.
So, what are you guys doing these days?
Doing tutorials like a boss
So I have been making tutorials for the Blender game engine for about 4 weeks now and I must admit it completely kills me. No, frankly, this stuff takes so much preparation, research, practice and side work, it is amazing. And now, after more than 1 hour of video, I am still not happy with my voice and accent.XD I still get confused with my verb tenses, I often misspell words and worst of all, I still get blanks while explaining. Those errors make me restart the whole recording over and over as I didn't find a good video editing software yet. The good thing is that I keep learning as I deepen and test everything before I include them in my tu
